What this is
SELF//PHASE is a self-observation app: you report how you are, draw a card, and the app reflects your own patterns back to you. By installing and using it you agree to these terms.
What it is not
SELF//PHASE is not a medical device, not therapy, not a diagnosis and not professional advice of any kind — psychological, medical, legal or financial. The card texts and generated observations are prompts for reflection, not instructions. Decisions you make remain yours. If you are in crisis, contact local emergency services or a qualified professional.
Your account
You can use the app without an account. Signing in with Apple or Google links your records to that store account so they survive a reinstall. Keep access to that account: it is the only way we can recognise you, and we cannot restore data for an account you can no longer sign into.
Your content
Notes you write stay yours. We do not publish them, sell them or use them to train models. We store and transmit them only to provide the app.
Acceptable use
Do not try to break, overload or reverse-engineer the service, access other people's data, or use the app to build a competing dataset.
Availability
The app is provided "as is". We do not promise uninterrupted service and may change or discontinue features. Where the law requires a guarantee, that law takes precedence over this paragraph.
Payment
The current version is free. Paid features, if introduced, are billed through the App Store or Google Play under their own terms, and are announced before they take effect.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the app. Nothing here limits liability for intent, gross negligence, or injury to life and health.
Termination
You may stop at any time by deleting your account in Settings, which erases your server-side data. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service.
Changes
Material changes are announced in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use the app after that means you accept them.
